As you can see, my dog liked the oddball croaking frog doll from Pubcon.

Other stuff:

- Glow ball from Google. It worked for two days. Now it's dead. Thanks China!
- Silly Putty from PayPerPost.com -- it literally saved the day for me when I played Cranium the other day and realized my clay was dried out.
- Barrel of Monkeys. I have no idea where I got it... but my niece loves it.

That's about it. I didn't get much swag that was great. I did get a Heavy.com Tom Selleck shirt that rocked.

I attended PubCon in Las Vegas the week before last. I wasn't sure what to expect... but I can tell you one thing: There were A LOT more people attending than I thought there would be.

MetaCafe.com: Got porn? I would bet that, like Ifilm, more than half of his traffic and streams is from the nekkid stuff. Site seems to have no editorial POV.

Photobucket: See Ebaums. Loads of OTHER PEOPLES' stuff hosted there. As soon as big money is attached... KABLAMMO! Lawyers get rich.

Heavy.com: Lots of big-named advertisers on this beast. I hear people bitching about all the ads... but from what I hear the guys at Heavy are turning a profit the legit way sans porn or other unsavories. They also own offshoot Myheavy.com which has the nicest embedable player out there (so far).

Comscore: Mistracking page duration since 1999

I ran across this while looking for info on YouTube's sale...

The user session duration graph in this article is suspect... since it is taken from Comscore. Comscore is great at lots of things... but they are unable to track user session duration for flash-based sites. What does that mean? Sites like AddictingClips.com, myspace's video section, Heavy.com and countless other big players are shafted by looking like their users come for 20 seconds per visit. It takes Heavy at least 8 seconds to even load... and addicting clips: How often have you been there less than 10 minutes?

Someone needs to question Comscore on this. It's misleading to the uneducated non-geeks out there.

So I finally decided to start a blog. Why? Who knows. Probably to quit bothering all my friends with emails.

I work in the online entertainment industry... as well as the cards and stationery world. I have a baby. I use a blackberry. I have TiVo. I guess that there are blogs about all those things... but I will give you a mix of everything.
